Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge in Monroe, LA seeks an Early Head Start educator to support infants and toddlers and collaborate with families and staff. You will implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, supervise classroom activities, and participate in ongoing training to meet Head Start standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of early childhood development, ability to work with diverse families, and a commitment to obtaining the CDA within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; must complete an Infant/Toddler CDA within 6 months of employment
• First Aid and CPR certifications required and maintained
• Prefer 2 years of related Head Start classroom experience
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Ability to work in diverse environments and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Attend required trainings, online sessions, workshops and staff meetings
• Implement Frog Street Infants & Toddlers curriculum suitable for infants and toddlers
• Collaborate with parents and staff to support each child’s goals
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality per FERPA & HIPAA
• Supervise classroom activities and assist with meal times and transitions
• Observe and document children’s development and coordinate with service providers
• Engage families in learning activities and community events
• Adhere to Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations
