Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for the Sizewell C project in Suffolk on a freelance/contract basis, focused on setting out, dimensional control and delivering works to drawings and specifications. The role involves working on a major infrastructure package within a regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Engineer on major civil projects.
• Essential setting-out experience with surveyed control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• UK nuclear security clearance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Setting out works accurately using surveying equipment.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to Site Manager.
• Check levels, coordinates, alignments and dimensions.
• Interpret drawings and technical information.
• Undertake as-built surveys and maintain records.
• Maintain site control points and benchmarks.
• Ensure works meet safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to deliver to specification.
