Job summary

The Lodge at Rocky Mount is seeking a motivated Staff Development Nurse to oversee mandated in-service training for all staff. The role focuses on maintaining compliance with annual in-services and coordinating with department heads to ensure participation.

A current RN license is required, and long term care experience is preferred. Responsibilities include scheduling trainings, securing trainers, updating the annual topics calendar, coordinating orientations for new hires, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have active Nursing License (RN).
• Long term care experience required.
• Staff development or in-service training experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating with department heads for trainings.

Responsibilities

• Schedules mandated in-services on an annual basis.
• Secures appropriate trainers for in-services.
• Prepares and updates annual calendar of in-servicing topics.
• Coordinates with department heads to ensure staff participation.
• Coordinates orientation for new employees to meet clinical requirements.
• Keeps attendance records for all staff in-services.
• Completes monthly nursing schedules.
