Job summary

The Lodge at Rocky Mount is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to become the Assistant Director of Nursing for our 115-bed facility. This leadership role provides clinical and organizational guidance to the Director of Nursing and supports staff through supervision and coordination.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care, shows compassion, can handle multiple priorities, and will work flexible hours to motivate a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Flexible hours and ability to motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Supports deficiency-free status by monitoring compliance with Medicare/Medicaid requirements and reporting issues.
• Maintains frequent communication with residents and families to keep them informed and involved in care.
• Ensures quality nursing care by supervising staff, counseling, and providing performance feedback.
• Ensures compliance with professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Works with electronic medical record systems.
• Reviews changes in Medicare/Medicaid and DHHS regulations and trains staff accordingly.
• Keeps up-to-date with standards of practice, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Supports infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs with the team.
• Coordinates information flow between providers, nursing staff, medical records, and social services; attends discharge planning meetings.
