Job summary

CVS Health Corporation, through its Omnicare LTC division, is seeking a Dispensing Pharmacist in Cleveland, TN. The role focuses on accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance within a long-term care pharmacy environment.

The pharmacist will enter orders, ensure security, verify technician work, and maintain inventory while complying with DEA/state laws and HIPAA. Evening/weekend/holiday coverage is required, with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in Tennessee, active and in good standing.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume dispensing and regulatory compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders
• Maintain security of the pharmacy
• Adhere to required delivery schedules
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products if required
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
• Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned (these vary by location)
