Job summary

Omnicare, a CVS Health subsidiary, seeks a licensed pharmacist in Tennessee for a Long Term Care pharmacy role. You will process prescriptions, ensure accurate dispensing, and maintain compliance with DEA/state laws while supporting a busy LTC facility environment.

The position is full-time with a rotating schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, offering a competitive benefits package and opportunities to advance within CVS Health's LTC operations.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Tennessee in good standing.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain security of the pharmacy.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify orders entered by technicians for accuracy.
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products if required.
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Knowledge of DEA and state law regarding controlled dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation.
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned.
