Job summary

American Senior Communities in Indianapolis is hiring a Billing Specialist to manage 3rd party billing, review initial claims, release to payers, and handle adjustments and follow-up across multiple property locations.

The role requires experience with managed care billing, long-term care settings, and familiarity with Medicare Advantage, commercial, VA, and workers' comp payers; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Managed care insurance billing experience.
• Skilled nursing/long-term care billing experience.
• Claims management and follow-up experience.
• Medicare Advantage, commercial, VA, workers comp payers.
• Associates Degree; Or, Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration/Management preferred
• One to three years Business Office experience in a Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage third-party billing including initial claim review and releasing claims to payers.
• Handle claim adjustments, account research, follow-up, disputes and appeals.
• Perform account research for multiple property locations.
