Job summary

American Senior Communities seeks a Billing Specialist to manage 3rd party billing across payer networks. You will review initial claims, release to payers, perform adjustments, and manage disputes and appeals while conducting detailed account research for multiple properties.

The role requires experience in managed care billing, LTC billing, and payer knowledge (Medicare Advantage, commercial, VA, workers comp).

Qualifications

• Managed care insurance billing experience.
• Skilled nursing/long-term care billing experience.
• Claims management and follow-up experience.
• Medicare Advantage, commercial, VA, workers comp payers.
• Associates Degree; Or, Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration/Management preferred
• One to three years Business Office experience in a Long-Term Care setting

Responsibilities

• Manage 3rd party billing including initial claim review and releasing claims to the payer.
• Perform claim adjustments, follow-up, disputes and appeals.
• Account research for multiple property locations.

The Billing Specialist manages the 3rd party billing including but not limited to initial claim review, releasing claims to the payer, claim and account adjustments, claim follow up, claim disputes and appeals, as well as account research for multiple property locations.

Requirements

• Managed care insurance billing experience
• Skilled nursing/long-term care billing experience
• Claims management and follow-up experience
