American Senior Communities is hiring a Billing Specialist in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role focuses on 3rd party billing, initial claim review, releasing claims to payers, and post-payment adjustments for multiple locations.

Responsibilities include claims follow-up, disputes, and appeals, plus account research to support accurate billing in a long-term care setting. A strong background in managed care billing is essential.

Qualifications

• Managed care insurance billing experience.
• Skilled nursing/long-term care billing experience.
• Claims management and follow-up experience.
• Medicare Advantage, commercial, VA, workers comp payers.
• Associates Degree; Or, Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration/Management preferred.
• One to three years Business Office experience in a Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage 3rd party billing including initial claim review and releasing to payer.
• Handle claim adjustments, disputes and appeals.
• Conduct account research for multiple property locations.
• Perform ongoing claim follow-up and payment posting.

Billing Specialist manages the 3rd party billing including but not limited to initial claim review, releasing claims to the payer, claim and account adjustments, claim follow up, claim disputes and appeals, as well as account research for multiple property locations.

Requirements
