Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Milford, CT, is seeking an Assistant Business Office Manager to support census, billing, accounts receivable and Medicaid applications for our nursing centers. This role collaborates with the Administration and Revenue Cycle teams to ensure accurate financial operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least two years in long-term care billing; accounting coursework is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in long-term care billing and collection preferred.
• Additional coursework in accounting/finance recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support census, billing, accounts receivable and Medicaid applications oversight.
• Report to the Business Office Manager and coordinate with the Revenue Cycle Manager.
• Interact with the Administrator, nursing center staff, leadership, Centralized Billing Office, families, attorneys and external agencies.
• Manage patient/resident trust funds and confidential files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
