Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc is seeking a CDL A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combinations.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining logs, and clear communication with dispatch. Candidates should meet DOT requirements and have hazmat/tank endorsements, with experience or completion of the FedEx Driver Development Course.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements. Automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• Must have 1 year experience within the most recent 3 years, or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMCSA Part 391.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations for pickups and deliveries between service centers and turn-points.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and complete required documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
