Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations.

You will perform daily safety inspections and log maintenance duties, while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with DOT regulations. The role involves operating long combinations where applicable, loading/unloading freight as needed, and communicating with dispatch about delays or problems.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction allowed).
• 1 year experience within last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• DOT 391 compliant.
• LCV qualifications for specified states.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractor/trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations.
