Job summary

LAZ Parking in Long Beach is seeking an experienced Shuttle Driver to transport passengers and staff safely and efficiently at Long Beach City College. This part-time role follows the college calendar and pays $24.00 per hour.

Requirements include a valid CDL (Class A or B) with passenger endorsement, DOT medical certification, a current 2+ years with a Class C license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. Shift is Mon–Thu 6:30am–6:30pm with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement and DOT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years experience with a Class C license.
• Pass a DOT medical examination and maintain valid credentials.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating company vehicles for passenger transport.
• Greet, engage, and thank guests (G.E.T. 100) at the point of service.
• Assist passengers boarding and exiting, including ADA passengers if needed.
• Communicate effectively within a team to maximize productivity.
• Work self-sufficiently to complete daily driving tasks.

• Shift: Monday to Thursday - 6:30 am- 6:30 pm- Must be flexible

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)


• Passenger Endorsement required


• DOT Medical Certification


• Minimum 2 years of experience with a regular Class C license


• Must be at least 21 years of age


• K-4 DMV printout (issued within the last 30 days) required


• Recent Passenger Commercial Vehicle Driving experience

Spirit of the Position:

LAZ CDL Driver is responsible for the effective, efficient and safe transportation, loading and unloading of passengers & employees to and from the assigned destinations, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.

Principle Job Duties:

• Safely operating company vehicles.


• G.E.T. 100 (Greet, Engage, and Thank the Guest - 100% of the time).


• Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle including ADA passengers, if applicable.


• Effectively communicating and working in a team environment to achieve maximum productivity.


• Demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently while performing daily tasks as a professional driver.

Requirements:

• 2 or more years with a CDL license.


• Comply with Federal DOT, State and Local Rules/Regulations, and Company Policy.


• Ability to read, write, and speak English.


• Valid Commercial Driver's License with proper endorsement(s).


• Valid Medical Card or ability to successfully perform and pass a DOT physical examination.


• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 50lbs


• Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift.


• Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)
