Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Traffic Specialist to direct and coordinate the transport of finished goods to customers, warehouses, and storage facilities. You will work with transportation consultants to optimize methods, choose efficient routing, and ensure timely shipments.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of related experience, and proficiency in Word and Excel. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor's degree and knowledge of Thomson Reuters' systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Keyboarding skills required.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate traffic activities to ensure efficient transportation of finished goods.
• Collaborate with transportation consultants to improve methods and procedures.
• Determine efficient routing and modes of transportation for shipments.
• Stay informed about USPS, UPS, FedEx, and freight industry updates.
• Schedule shipments and notify departments or customers of arrival dates.
• Investigate damages, shortages, or overcharges in consignments or freight.
• Coordinate contract, ITP, and Creative Services bulk shipments as distribution contact.
• Study packaging, warehousing, and loading to evaluate procedures and standards.
• Support changes to improve control and efficiency in traffic management.
• Assist in budget data gathering for the department.
