Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a Logistics Technician to manage material movement, inventory, and warehousing for production and R&D programs. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, accurate backflush, and efficient material flow in ERP/WMS systems.

The role requires experience in manufacturing environments, attention to detail, and strong communication with project teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• AS degree or equivalent with 5–7 years in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing support.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on warehouse operations including receiving, staging, and cycle counting.
• Understanding of supply chain and material management practices.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Clear and effective communication with leadership and teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily material movement and handling to support active production and R&D.
• Ensure production data is accurate in warehousing system for planning and scheduling.
• Receive and transfer material between inventory locations; pick and stage for kits and operations.
• Support job kitting for Production and R&D in alignment with demand.
• Uphold 5S standards to keep warehouse safe and organized.
• Own inventory accuracy, location control, and data integrity, including cycle counts.
