Job summary

Action Staffing Group is seeking a Logistics Supervisor for a distribution facility in Hickory, NC. You will lead a team of logistics personnel, coordinate with internal departments and external carriers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer service and operational objectives for a food service operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in freight and logistics management.
• Proven experience with freight, carrier regulations, claims, rates, and Last Mile logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop logistics associates to meet performance, safety, and quality goals.
• Monitor and optimize freight movement, carrier performance, and route schedules.
• Analyze logistics metrics and develop action plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain compliance with policies, safety standards, DOT regulations, and applicable laws.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
• Prepare and present reporting to leadership as required.
• Collaborate with internal operations and external partners to grow logistics programs.
• Support freight claim investigation and documentation (OS&D) as needed.
• Update freight system data files: carrier rates, supplier info, bills, and transfers.
• Assist in freight invoice payment processing, auditing, and tracking.
