Caterpillar Lafayette is seeking a Team Lead for the Product Support and Logistics Division to assist the manager in guiding a warehouse team, coordinating daily workflow, and ensuring efficient operation on the 2:30pm–10:30pm shift in Lafayette, IN.

You will operate heavy equipment, drive performance through meetings, coordinate with logistics and carriers, and lead continuous improvement while prioritizing safety and cost control. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Safety: daily maintenance and safety logs.
• Warehouse management: basic warehousing activities and inventory records.
• Customer service management: focus on satisfying customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and perform material handling.
• Lead meetings with multifunctional team to track performance.
• Coordinate with logistics to improve processes and investigate defects.
• Coordinate with carriers to set up expedited shipments and manage zones.
• Lead problem-solving events and manage training matrix.
• Track quality metrics and uphold safety, quality, velocity and cost goals.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform required safety checks.
