Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Team Lead for the Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD). You will assist the manager, coordinate workflow, oversee daily operations, and guide multiple job classifications at a 3rd shift facility.

Responsibilities include leading safety and quality efforts, and coordinating with customers and carriers to optimize logistics. Requires strong supervisory and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and perform material handling (unloading, sorting, putting away, picking, packing, shipping).
• Lead meetings to track performance and guide daily priorities and changes.
• Coordinate with logistics and customers to improve processes and investigate defects.
• Arrange expedited shipments with carriers and manage zones and aged inventory.
• Lead problem-solving events and manage training matrices for team flexibility.
• Track quality, safety, velocity and cost goals and enforce safety policies.
• Walk/stand and perform lifting and climbing tasks as needed.
