Job summary

Group O, Inc. in Roanoke, TX is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving department. You will lead a team, manage inventory accuracy, and ensure safe, timely shipments that meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year in warehouse operations and supervising experience, with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. A high school diploma is required; forklift certification and logistics education are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: logistics or supply chain education; forklift certification.
• 1+ years in warehouse, shipping and receiving; 1+ years supervising.
• Experience with freight carriers and POD reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to deliver shipping/receiving outcomes meeting safety, quality, production, financial and customer goals.
• Supervise shipping/receiving staff including scheduling, training, and evaluations.
• Inspect product for customer specifications, verify content and labeling, note discrepancies, and process orders.
• Oversee receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate and track outbound shipments ensuring timely dispatch and adherence to customer requirements.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and manage POD reporting.
