Logistics Supervisor 1st Shift - Fort Smith, AR

Join our team in Fort Smith as a Logistics Supervisor on 1st shift. In this role, you will oversee the daily logistics operations of the shipping areas, ensuring safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity standards are met. You will also promote continuous improvement, foster strong employee relations, and enhance efficiency throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Team Leaders to implement lean principles across all areas
• Provide guidance and support to Team Leaders
• Monitor inventory, expenditures, and manpower to meet area demands
• Gather employee input on manufacturing processes for continuous improvement through root cause analysis and collective actions
• Communicate production requirements effectively to the team
• Assign jobs and direct activities to meet workload demands
• Enforce safety policies and ensure equipment safety and maintenance
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill customer needs
• Work with Safety and Quality Departments to ensure product quality and employee safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Proficiency with manufacturing software and tools
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of safety standards, OSHA regulations, and compliance enforcement
• Experience with quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Education
