Job summary

DFC Company in West Fargo, ND is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations, equipment, inventory, and processes. You will supervise, train, coach, and evaluate logistics personnel to ensure productivity and continuous improvement, coordinate schedules, and manage daily workloads to meet deadlines.

The role includes overseeing shipping/receiving, operating forklifts, and supporting inventory control for the Sign Shop.

Qualifications

• Oversee daily logistics operations including employees, equipment, inventory and processes.
• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate logistics personnel to ensure productivity.
• Coordinate employee schedules and manage daily workloads to meet deadlines.
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities including loading/unloading freight and shipments.
• Operate forklifts and skid steers and assist with sign production and aluminum work as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control for the Sign Shop.
• Organize, pull, and prepare retail orders for shipment and communicate status to Sales.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate logistics personnel to ensure productivity and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate employee schedules, delegate duties, and manage daily workloads to meet deadlines.
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading freight and coordinating parcel, LTL, and full truckload shipments.
• Operate forklifts and skid steers and assist with sign production and aluminum work as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct physical inventory counts, and support inventory control for the Sign Shop.
• Organize, pull, and prepare retail orders for shipment while communicating order status to Sales and Management.
• Perform quality control checks and coordinate quality improvements with Sign Shop supervisors and management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Sign Shop, warehouse, and lot.
• File and manage freight claims for missing, damaged, or delayed shipments.
• Train and orient new employees, provide ongoing guidance, and serve as a resource for employee questions.
• Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency, safety, and workflow processes.
• Participate in safety training, weekly meetings, and other activities related to workload planning and product knowledge.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manufacturing and Logistics Manager, Assistant Manager, or other management personnel.

Shift and Time

7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Summary

• Coordinate employee schedules, delegate duties, and manage daily workloads to meet deadlines.
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading freight and coordinating parcel, LTL, and full truckload shipments.
• Operate forklifts and skid steers and assist with sign production and aluminum work as needed.
• Manage Telespar orders, including production schedules, material availability, cutting requirements, and lead times.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct physical inventory counts, and support inventory control for the Sign Shop.
• Organize, pull, and prepare retail orders for shipment while communicating order status to Sales and Management.
• Perform quality control checks and coordinate quality improvements with Sign Shop supervisors and management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Sign Shop, warehouse, and lot.
• File and manage freight claims for missing, damaged, or delayed shipments.
• Train and orient new employees, provide ongoing guidance, and serve as a resource for employee questions.

Physical Requirements

• Required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
