Logistics Specialist - Vessel Reconciliation

Job Summary / Key Responsibilities:

This role ensures the vessel load list complies with customs regulations and MSC internal standards. It involves communication with internal and external parties to resolve issues related to the load list.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and monitor the load list, verifying information from terminals and MSC systems, ensuring documentation is submitted before cut-offs.
  • Check that MSC cargo is included on the load list and loaded.
  • Clean the load list by canceling bookings lacking proper documentation or missing cut-offs, in accordance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Compare data across MSC and terminal systems to identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with terminals to resolve issues, such as containers held for customs inspection.
  • Investigate and communicate vessel schedule changes to relevant parties.
  • Coordinate with internal departments like Documentation and Planning.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
Required Skills, Experience, Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Advanced English proficiency

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or customer service
Physical Demands:
  • Sitting for extended periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
