As a Logistics Specialist - Truckload, a typical day might include the following:

• Developing relationships with customer contacts at multiple levels
• Generating and maintaining a pipeline of new business thru prospecting, cold calling, networking and thru solicitation from existing customers
• Identifying opportunities to further service accounts by selling all service lines
• Preparing pricing options and responding to RFQs, negotiating with both customers and carriers
• Managing customer expectations though the creation and utilization of account metrics
• Procuring and building carrier capacity via research and outreach, establishing relationships with new and existing carriers
• Managing daily shipments (cradle to grave), resolving issues, tracking on-time performance, and providing an excellent customer experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college education or similar is a plus
• 1+ years of brokerage sales experience and/or 3 years of logistics, supply chain or related experience
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle conflict
• Proficient in MS Office, TMS/Load board (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) experience a plus
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong time management skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
