Job summary

Watts is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our Shipping Department in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on coordinating inbound and outbound transportation, optimizing schedules, and ensuring accurate documentation to support cost-efficient, on-time shipments.

The ideal candidate will have a 3+ year track record in logistics, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP/TMS systems, Excel, and Word. This onsite position reports to the Logistics Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics Management, Business Administration or similar technical degree, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of prior experience in logistics or shipping, with ability to analyze data and drive improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office and ERP/TMS systems.
• Ability to comply with laws, codes, policies, and safety practices and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Load, plan, and schedule transportation for outbound and inbound shipments.
• Provide carriers with shipment information and ensure timely acknowledgment of changes.
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support decision-making and optimize operations.
• Resolve delays and shipment issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare BOLs, labels, and shipping documentation for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Assist with processing freight claims and track to resolution.
• Apply analytical methods to monitor and improve logistics operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategic solutions.
• Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, and carriers to meet shipping objectives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
