Job summary

Adecco is assisting a local customer in finding a Logistics Specialist for the Trenton, NJ area. This role offers a first shift schedule, a $24.00 hourly rate, and a pathway to grow within logistics operations.

You will maintain-load details, support account managers, and ensure loads are picked up and delivered on time. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and roughly one year of logistics experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Approximately 1 year of logistics experience or related role.

Responsibilities

• Enter loads from customer tenders into Freight Optimizer system and maintain customer profile information.
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; inform receivers and customers on load status.
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify loads arrive on time and in good condition.
• Take call checks from drivers; verify load data before marking loads delivered for accounting.
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages and complete documentation.
• Schedule/reschedule delivery appointments and select loads based on manager directions.
• Provide detailed routing instructions to drivers.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
• Update account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken; update receivers and customers on status of loads
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of logistics experience General knowledge of the transportation industry

Pay Details:

$24.00 per hour
