Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, issue, and ship materials, parts, and inventory.
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and material tracking.
• Pick, stage, and kit materials for production and operations.
• Load and unload freight per procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and WMS.
• Generate shipping labels, packing docs, and reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and carriers.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain warehouse safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement and accuracy initiatives.

Now Hiring: Logistics Specialist

Location: Elizabeth City, NC
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00/hour DOE

Seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for material handling, inventory control, kitting, shipping documentation, and ERP system transactions while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and accuracy.

Job Duties

• Receive, inspect, store, issue, and ship materials, parts, and inventory
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and material tracking activities
• Pick, stage, and kit materials for production and operational requirements
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and warehouse management systems
• Generate shipping labels, packing documentation, and inventory reports
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and transportation providers to resolve material and shipment issues
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other material handling equipment
• Maintain compliance with warehouse procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and inventory accuracy efforts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
• Ability to utilize inventory databases, ERP systems, and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, shipping, or receiving
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software
• Forklift experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and material handling throughout the shift
• Ability to safely move heavier materials using mechanical equipment
