Job Description:
- The Logistics Claims Senior Specialist manages and resolves product-related claims, such as overages, shortages, damages, and refusals reported by carriers at delivery.
- The role involves working with the Logistics Teams processing an annualized total of $100 million in our Poultry Prepared Division, requiring accurate and timely evaluations and disposition decisions.
- Delays can lead to significant carrier accessorial fees, impacting operational costs and logistics efficiency.
- This position involves working on a call center, communicating with drivers.
- The Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, following SOPs, including Transportation Operations, FSQA, Plant Operations, Shipping, Customer Service, Warehousing, Product Movement, Deductions, and Sustainability teams.
- The role includes managing worklists, updating transportation and financial systems, and processing donation receipts, forwarding them to relevant teams.
- The Specialist oversees accessorial payments, ensuring carrier payments meet contractual expectations.
- Obtaining and validating Proof of Delivery (POD) for each case is crucial.
- The role requires maintaining and auditing worklists in High Radius and reporting in Power BI, which influence KPIs for the Distribution division.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of office clerical experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Logistics experience, especially handling OS&D claims or customer service, is highly valuable.
- Experience in data collection and analysis is a plus.
Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Professional phone skills for interacting with internal and external contacts.
- Negotiation skills for managing carrier claims.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Skilled in managing conflicts diplomatically.
- Proficient in preparing detailed reports and documentation.
- Effective follow-up skills for issue resolution.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, High Radius, Power BI, SAP TM, TES, and DB2.
- Experience with call center technology such as Five9.
