Job description

Logistics Specialist-Fielding and Equipment Training III

Amentum is currently seeking a Logistics Specialist-Fielding and Equipment Training III to support the PM Soldier Survivability (PM SSV) project office under Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, Fort Belvoir, VA. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team focused on providing and rapidly delivering enhanced protection, individual equipment, and aviation life support capabilities to ensure combat overmatch and mission success.

As a Logistics Specialist-Fielding and Equipment Training III, you will support the Project Manager Soldier Survivability by:

  1. Providing senior-level logistics expertise for planning, programming, and executing fielding operations, as well as developing and conducting new equipment training.
  2. Conducting strategic and campaign planning, prioritizing receiving organizations, developing execution plans, managing stock levels, ensuring accountability of issued items, managing shortages, and preparing and delivering briefings about the program.
  3. Coordinating with ASAALT, AMC, Army Commands, and receiving units for logistics and training requirements.
  4. Organizing and directing efforts related to planning, programming, and executing fielding operations.
  5. Supporting staffing of Material Fielding Plans (MFP), New Equipment Fielding Plans, total package fielding, and GFE tracking.
  6. Ensuring accurate property accountability related to Materiel Fielding.
  7. Overseeing successful equipment fielding in accordance with the Basis of Issue (BOI).
  8. Identifying discrepancies or defects, managing stock, and resolving equipment issues faced by soldiers.
  9. Establishing, vetting, and training Fielding Teams for on-site equipment fielding activities.
  10. Planning and executing fielding site setup, packing equipment for shipment, conducting NMIB and NET, coordinating displays for VIPs, firing ranges, and instructor training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and over ten (10) years of relevant experience OR fifteen (15) years or more of relevant experience.
  • PM SSV airdrop positions are exempt from the Bachelor’s Degree requirement. Equivalent of DAWIA Level III certification in Life Cycle Logistics.
  • Certified Trainer with at least six months of training experience.
  • Experience with Logistics Automated Systems.
  • Prior jump certification, as required.

Required Clearance:

Active Secret Clearance required. US Citizenship is mandatory to obtain this clearance.
