Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Operation Management or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of related experience in Supply Chain.
• Familiar with domestic freight companies and parcel couriers.
• Familiar with claims and chargeback handling.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) is a plus.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude, excellent execution and follow through.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with minimum supervision and great attention to details.
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage time effectively, detailed.
• Excellent planner, flexible and capable of handling multiple tasks and sets priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Tracking orders and reporting status to Sales & Tech teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and update loan orders in JDE with expected ship date.
• Update JD Edwards ERP with tracking information.
• Support returns management and tracking.
• Domestic claims management.
• Assist AR with POD and chargeback research.
• Assist during month end aging orders.
• Assist with domestic freight quotes and shipment routing.
• Help with implementation of Best Practices & maintenance of SOP manuals.
• Assist in Supply Chain mailbox management.

This position is FT with 3 days per week required in the NYC office. The Logistics Specialist is primarily responsible for oversight of the coffee machine loan orders and other order types providing updated information on ship dates and tracking to our North American Technical and Sales Teams. This position follows specific parameters and SOPs and manages a high volume of work requiring an individual who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision on the execution of the claims and returns process.

Core Responsibilities

This position requires constant interactions not only with Illy cross-functional teams such as Accounts Receivable, but with Suppliers, Distribution Warehouse centers and Freight Carriers.

• Managing the tracking of orders and reporting outward to our Sales & Tech Teams via reports, phone calls, emails.
• Interact with vendors and update loan orders in JDE with expected ship date.
• Updating our ERP (JD Edwards) with tracking information.
• Supporting with Returns Management and tracking.
• Domestic claims management.
• Assist AR with POD and chargeback research.
• Assist during month end aging orders.
• Assist with domestic freight quotes and shipment routing.
• Help with implementation of Best Practices & maintenance of SOP manuals.
• Assist in Supply Chain mailbox management.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Operation Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in Supply Chain
• Familiar with domestic freight companies and parcel couriers
• Familiar with claims and chargeback handling
• Technology savvy, proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Knowledge of JDE is a plus.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude, excellent execution and follow through.
