Job summary

HorseShoe Beverage Company is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support account executives and ensure customer orders are appointed, covered, picked up and delivered on time.

You will handle load coordination, set appointments, and record information in McLeod and the client’s TMS, while providing carrier and customer support and working with internal teams to resolve issues in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account specific tasks such as load building and load scheduling.
  • Set appointments with shippers/receivers and record in McLeod and TMS.
  • Provide basic customer and carrier support and escalate issues as needed.
  • Build relationships with load coordinators and others supporting freight.
  • Monitor and track loads and communicate details to prevent problems.
  • Provide updates and resolve issues for operations and customers.
  • Ensure accurate data capture and TMS entry for carrier/customer functions.

Description

Job Summary

As a Logistics Specialist, you are responsible for operational support and assisting with Account Executive’s book of business. You will ensure all customer orders are appointed, covered, picked up, and delivered on time, supporting continued business and the growth of a book of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform account specific tasks i.e. load building, load scheduling, overflow check calls, etc.
  • Set appointments with shippers and receivers and record information in McLeod and Customer’s TMS.
  • Provide basic customer and carrier support duties and elevate issues to Account Executive or Carrier Sales team as needed.
  • Build relationships with load coordinators and others responsible for supporting freight.
  • Monitor and track loads as needed to ensure details are accurately communicated and proactively identify potential problems.
  • Provide necessary communication updates and issue resolution for operations and customers as required.
  • Ensure accurate data capture, data integrity and TMS system entry in all carrier and customer related functions.

  • Punctuality and a good work ethic are critical.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with McLeod TMS a plus.
