A leading logistics firm is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Fort Worth. The candidate will manage customer accounts and daily operations from shipment tendering to paperwork. Responsibilities include scheduling transportation, acting as a contact point for customers, resolving delays, and improving processes. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of third-party logistics experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience conducting business over the phone highly preferred.
• 1+ year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience communicating with customers by phone is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers with proactive communication.
• Provide quick and effective solutions to resolve transportation delays.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems to track shipment operations.
• Assist with shipment documentation (BOLs, labels, invoices) and data reporting.
• Collaborate with all departments and team members to optimize processes.
• Utilize TMS to track operations and develop weekly/monthly reports and analyses.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement with customers and carriers.

The Logistics Specialist will manage customer accounts and daily operations including shipment tendering through final paperwork. A successful Specialist will develop strategies and build relationships with customers and carriers that will optimize supply chain efficiency, increase reliability, and minimize costs. The Logistics Specialist will operate in a role that is highly relationship oriented, operational, and analytical.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation for inbound and outbound shipments
• Act as the main point of contact for customers providing proactive communication over the phone, via email, and in person as necessary
• Provide customers with shipment information and ensure changes to orders are acknowledged and acted upon in a timely manner
• Provide quick and effective solutions to resolve transportation delays and complications
• Assist with shipment documentation including BOLs, labels, and invoices
• Work effectively and collaboratively with all departments and team members
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems to track shipment operations, communications, and develop weekly/monthly reports and data analysis
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategic solutions with customers and carriers

Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, business, supply chain, or engineering is highly preferred
• Minimum 1-year third-party logistics experience preferred
• Minimum 1-year sales and/or customer service experience preferred
• Experience conducting business over the phone highly preferred
