Job summary

Jobtailor, located in Exton, PA, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage day-to-day shipment execution within a Transportation Management System (TMS). You will ensure all loads are planned, executed, and delivered on time while coordinating with shipping sites, carriers, and internal teams.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle a high volume of emails, and strong data maintenance across systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across systems (email, TMS, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain preferred.
• Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets preferred.
• Experience supporting gas, chemical, bulk, rail, or hazardous material transportation operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of shipments within a Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Ensure all loads are planned, executed, and delivered on time.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays, errors, or carrier challenges.
• Communicate with shipping sites, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Manage a high volume of emails and system updates while prioritizing urgent requests.
• Troubleshoot shipment issues across multiple transportation modes, including TL, LTL, rail, bulk, and specialized freight, escalating when needed.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions.
• Maintain accurate shipment, rate, and operational data within systems.
• Assist with resolving billing or invoice discrepancies.
