Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Vandalia, IL to support daily inbound and outbound shipments, order entry, receiving, and shipping activities. This role ensures accurate documentation, appointment scheduling, and inventory status updates while maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and proficient with Microsoft Office, with a high school diploma and solid communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, transportation, or warehouse environment preferred.
• Microsoft Office and general computer skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to type ~50 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments using the load board.
• Process orders and coordinate bookings and inventory updates.
• Verify pickups/deliveries and update shipment statuses.
• Prepare and maintain inbound/outbound documentation.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, drivers, and warehouse staff.
