Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping Clerk for a contract position in Ferndale, MI. You will handle desk work, scheduling shipments, and processing outbound orders using Bills of Lading, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires experience in shipping/receiving, familiarity with SAP ERP and Microsoft Office, and a reliable work history. You will coordinate with trucking, maintain metrics, and support the order department to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and receiving processes.
• Data entry skills required.
• Forklift operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process outbound shipments using Bills of Lading and label items with PRO numbers as needed.
• Schedule daily trucks for shipments.
• Maintain, file, and record prior days' shipments.
• Maintain daily shipping metrics for the department.
• Screen trucking personnel before granting access to the property.
• Maintain communication with the order department to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
