Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Receiving and Inventory Clerk to coordinate the receiving and distribution control of incoming supplies, direct stockroom staff, and ensure accurate records in MMIS. The role requires ensuring timely updates of receiving data and communicating with shippers/vendors to resolve issues related to shortages, damage, or overages.

Responsibilities include inspecting receipts, maintaining open order files, and assisting AP with prompt vendor payments.

Qualifications

• Experience with MMIS processes impacting AP functions/records.
• Knowledge of warehousing inventory control receiving and supply distribution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the receiving and distribution control of incoming supplies and materials.
• Directs stockroom clerks in correct storage of stockroom items.
• Inspects receipts for accuracy of content, damage and expiration date if applicable.
• Communicates with shippers/vendors to resolve issues related to product damage shortages and/or overages.
• Keeps comments/instructions to assist AP for prompt and accurate vendor payments.
• Maintains accurate files on the status of all open and backordered purchase orders.
• Maintains accurate delivery log and ensures prompt processing of incoming packages.
