Job summary

ASC Process Systems, Inc. is seeking a capable Shipping/Receiving Clerk to oversee loading and unloading of deliveries, inspect shipments, and maintain accurate logs.

You will label and store goods, process freight claims, verify freight bills, and prepare packing lists and shipping documentation while ensuring safety procedures are followed. Strong communication and basic Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and 1-2 years of related experience.
• Good communication skills with management and co-workers.
• Regular use of telephone for communication.
• Type minimum 30 wpm and basic knowledge with Microsoft Office.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods is common.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations.
• Heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs required to move boxes and other goods.

Responsibilities

• Supervises loading and unloading of all delivery trucks.
• Inspects deliveries per ASC’s Receiving Inspection procedures and processes non-conforming deliveries.
• Labels and stores received goods appropriately.
• Maintains shipping and receiving logs and maintains files of shipping records.
• Processes loss freight or shipping damage claims.
• Verifies freight bills with accounting and resolves errors with carriers.
• Prepares packing lists, bill of ladings and other shipping documentation as necessary.
• Performs other duties as needed or requested by management.
