Job summary

ASR International is seeking a logistics/shipping clerk to verify orders, organize goods transfers, and monitor shipping practices from receiving to delivery. The role requires understanding Navy shipping documents, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Applicants should be a US citizen, hold a valid driver’s license, and be eligible for a SECRET clearance. The position may involve heavy lifting and requires adherence to safety standards and documentation

Qualifications

• Navy logistics experience preferred.
• Understanding Navy shipping and receiving documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Must be a US Citizen and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Active SECRET clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities against documents; ensuring shipments are properly packaged and identified with shipping information; loading into transporting vehicles; preparing and keeping records of goods shipped (manifests, bills of lading).
• Organizes, sorts, and transfers goods from one location to another.
• Monitors packages from start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices.
• Provides update inventory records and compiles weekly or monthly reports for management.
• Oversees and maintains records of all shipping and receiving materials.
• Verifies correctness of incoming and outgoing shipments.
