Job summary

California Food Banks™ is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead the Farm to Family program and supervise the Procurement team, delivering high-quality service to donors, growers, shippers and the communities we serve. You will optimize operations, monitor performance metrics, manage ERP data for carriers and food banks, and provide guidance to staff.

Expect up to 10% travel, occasional after-hours work, and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 yrs experience in logistics and operations support in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Office, preferably NetSuite.
• Quick learner and good listening skills.
• Experience with managing direct reports with strong supervisory skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships internal and externally.
• Ability to multi-task and work in high volume, time-critical processing environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day F2F program operations and ensure timely deliveries.
• Verify Meal Connect on FANO and place excess orders.
• Oversee procurement and ERP data accuracy for carriers, shippers, and food banks.
• Analyze reports to meet established metrics and route scheduling.
• Lead procurement team including coaching and training.
• Coordinate weekend/after-hours coverage as needed.
• Travel up to 10% for conferences and events.
