Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Melrose Park, IL is seeking an entry-level inbound/outbound shipments associate to support processing and documentation for shipments. The role is on-site with a Tuesday–Saturday shift, 8:30am to 5:00pm, and involves coordinating space on various transportation modes and preparing necessary paperwork.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and less than one year of related experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required, certification may be preferred.
Less than one year related experience.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers; advise of shipment details and provide quotations.
Oversee shipment transportation by arranging, booking, and confirming space on flights, freight, cargo, and other transportation methods.
Complete documentation for receipt of shipments, or review documentation to correctly process shipments.
Process documents through the appropriate system in a timely manner to ensure compliance with established deadlines.
Trace key transaction information to determine if available and initiate clearance process once documents are received.
Follow-up with carriers, manage pre-alerts daily, and maintain records of all communications.
