Job summary

The Hire Mark is hiring a logistics administrator in San Bernardino, CA to own day-to-day transportation operations from carrier selection to delivery and to spot bottlenecks, test fixes, and turn one-off solutions into repeatable processes.

You will work with carrier portals, TMS platforms, and spreadsheets, coordinating with warehouses and drivers to keep shipments on track while building simple templates and reports.

Qualifications

• Experience with LTL/FTL shipments and OTIF performance.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with carrier TMS platforms.
• Ability to review carrier rates and negotiate.
• Excellent communication with warehouses, brokers, and carriers.
• Problem-solving mindset and initiative.
• Self-motivated and able to juggle priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review transit times and evaluate carriers; recommend changes.
• Book freight with carriers and source best rates.
• Troubleshoot issues from booking to delivery and document root causes.
• Direct dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles.
• Communicate daily with warehouse, brokers, and carriers.
• Maintain daily cargo tracking report.
• Assign loads for pick and pack.
• Provide freight quotes to sales.
• Review and negotiate carrier rates.
• Identify manual steps and propose improvements.
• Take on other administrative tasks.
