Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Covington Township, PA location. You will lead hourly staff, oversee driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, and customer service operations to meet service and cost objectives.

You will supervise processes, manage performance, and participate in hiring while driving continuous improvement and ensuring safety. Regular hours; potential peak-season flexibility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with associates and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to manage problems, think critically, and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility to run the operation with urgency.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel and submit to background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation control.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching.
• Evaluate and implement changes to improve dispatch productivity.
• Provide relief coverage during time-off and absences.
• Maintain knowledge of site operating systems for compliance and issue resolution.
• Complete records and reports in a timely manner.
