Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Transportation and Customs Supervisor who will oversee logistics processes and provide customer service for shipments in compliance with federal and foreign regulations.

You will supervise staff, monitor performance, review documents, and optimize clearance operations while coordinating with operations managers and external partners. The role requires leadership, strong analytical and regulatory knowledge, and willingness to work outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• Four years related experience with minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Logistics or related discipline preferred.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Provide supervision and control for all departmental activities and staff training.
• Oversee shipment documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Compute duties and tariffs and communicate with customs officials.
• Establish and monitor policies for customs clearance.
• Identify issues in clients' import/export processes through audits.
• Coordinate with operations manager and support after-hours on-call.
• Participate in department projects related to the area.
