Job summary

Temco Logistics in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking an Operations Manager who will lead daily operations, support drivers, office teams, and customers, and partner with the General Manager to ensure service excellence and compliance.

You will optimize routes, monitor performance, manage payroll and scheduling, and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-road operations, routes, service performance, and daily handoffs.
• Support driver teams and customer service by troubleshooting issues and managing calls.
• Ensure manifests, routing, dispatch, and check-ins are accurate, compliant, and timely.
• Partner with Router to optimize routes within DOT regulations.
• Review exceptions and ensure staging, labeling, and readiness of deliveries.
• Train, onboard, and support drivers and technicians with clear processes and rationale.
• Manage driver schedules based on forecasts and hours budgets.
• Conduct performance reviews and collaborate with HR on engagement and accountability.
• Build a culture of support, communication, and accountability.
• Review payroll for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with check-in procedures, claims, and documentation.
• Investigate freight and Sedgwick claims for timely resolution.
• Maintain organized paperwork, rosters, and daily recap reporting.
• Order office supplies and oversee inbound/outbound staging for dispatch.
