Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Arkansas to monitor and optimize freight movements for Pilot Freight Services connections. You will prepare paperwork, dispatch drivers and maintain quality service while adhering to company policies.

The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication and a solid background in logistics. On-site work in Lake City, AR with competitive pay and benefit options is offered.

Qualifications

• Customer service background preferred.
• Ability to read key elements of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of logistics systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operations, process shipments, prepare paperwork and dispatch drivers.
• Serve as the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, system operations and vendors.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with laws and corporate policies.
• Train, supervise, coach and evaluate direct reports.
• Review operational KPIs and benchmarking data for improvements.
• Communicate freight status to customers, vendors and Pilot stations.
• Assist with loading/unloading and freight handling as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
