Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking an Operations Intern for Fall 2026 in Monroe, Louisiana.

Under close supervision, you will assist with customers on transportation and logistics services and gain exposure to core operational tasks. You will participate in daily tasks including freight planning, asset utilization, safety management, and DOT compliance, while supporting driver payroll and logistics analysis.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply basic transportation management principles.
• Assist with daily operational tasks in planning freight, asset utilization, and DOT compliance.
• Gain exposure to driver payroll, safety, and logistics analysis.
• Support account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Aid in driver retention initiatives and industry trend research.
• Perform other related duties as required.
