Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking an Operations Internship for Summer 2027 in Atlanta, GA. This part-time role provides exposure to transportation management principles and daily operational tasks, including freight planning, asset utilization, and DOT compliance.

You will assist with driver payroll, logistics analysis, and customer-related duties while gaining industry insight and practical experience in a structured internship program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Junior or Senior level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including freight planning and asset utilization.
• Support DOT compliance, driver payroll, logistics analysis and supervision.
• Assist with account-specific duties and other related tasks as assigned.
