Job summary

Capstone in Abilene, TX is seeking a General Manager to lead a key logistics facility. The role requires managing staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and supervision of warehouse teams, with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Expect 5 years of industrial management experience, strong leadership, and hands-on budgeting skills. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule in the first shift, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

5 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
Ability to manage budgets; read and interpret P&L statements; prepare management reports.
Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Implements the business plan for assigned area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling.
Identifies associate, customer, and supplier concerns and determines corrective actions.
Monitors and manages productivity by preparing, reviewing and analyzing business reports; assist in managing Site and Departmental budgets.
Maintains quality and safety standards by training associates and ensuring policy compliance.
Supervises and develops associates by assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
