Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operations Associate at our USA station to manage freight movements and carrier coordination. You will track outbound shipments, quote and invoice international moves, and maintain accurate data in our transportation management system.

The role emphasizes high-volume operations, strong customer service, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires a high school diploma, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace outbound shipments and inspect freight.
• Contract new carriers and assign loads; provide load tenders.
• Communicate freight status to stations and customers and update the system.
• Provide customer service and support overtime/weekend on-call rotations.
• Data entry of shipments into a Transportation Management System.
• Quote, cost, and invoice international shipments by air, ocean, and ground.
• Coordinate domestic air/ground routing, including Canada.
• Negotiate freight rates and develop carrier relationships.
• Identify new logistics opportunities and design carrier solutions.
