Job summary

Maersk Norton, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to supervise on-site logistics operations, coordinate carrier and contractor relationships, and ensure accurate delivery performance.

The role requires 5+ years in logistics or supply chain, a bachelor's degree preferred, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to lead hourly staff while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 5+ years in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and time management.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a Supervisor role including performance reviews of direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relations with vendors, stores, independent contractors.
• Ensures follow up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods and in-home damage claims.
• Dispatches trucks using GPS technology.
• Oversees in-home delivery for customers.
• Maintains monthly operating reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
• Oversees Customer Service Representatives and Routers.
• Directly supervises hourly on-site staff who handle day-to-day operations in data entry, customer service, order processing and delivery.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and providing direction employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
