Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Logistics & Materials Specialist to manage receiving, warehousing, inventory control, production kitting, shipping, and ERP administration to support engineering and manufacturing operations.

The role focuses on material traceability, cycle counts, Lean and 5S, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve material issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-10 years of logistics, warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica preferred).
• Experience with inventory or asset management software (Boltline preferred).
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material handling.
• Understanding of serialized inventory, lot traceability, and configuration control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift materials and work safely in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, identify, and store incoming materials.
• Coordinate production kitting, staging, and material movement.
• Maintain inventory accuracy using Acumatica or similar ERP system.
• Administer tooling and asset tracking records in inventory or asset management software.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Maintain serialized, lot-controlled, and traceable inventory.
• Prepare domestic and international shipments.
• Coordinate freight carriers and shipping documentation.
• Support production scheduling through material availability reporting.
• Maintain warehouse organization using Lean and 5S principles.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve material issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory, warehouse operations, and material flow.

About the Position

The Logistics & Materials Specialist is responsible for receiving, warehousing, inventory control, production kitting, shipping, ERP administration, and tooling asset management. The role ensures production-ready material, complete hardware traceability, and accurate inventory records to support engineering, manufacturing, integration, and test operations.

• Aerospace or spacecraft manufacturing experience.
• AS9100 or aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of export compliance and shipping documentation.
• Experience with barcode inventory systems.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.

Work is performed in a prototype development laboratory and manufacturing environment supporting spacecraft, lunar robotics and aerospace mechanisms.
